🖊️How I Turn My Ideas and Phone Calls into Articles in Just 8 Clicks

Picture this: I'm on a train, shuffling my luggage awkwardly, when suddenly, I spot a familiar face. Actually, two: a friendly girl and a cute Westie chilling in her lap. I met this duo a decade ago while traveling between the same two cities. We end up with seats next to each other, because of course we do. Life's funny that way.

Our three-hour journey seemed to pass in a blink as we engaged in a great conversation. She's a social media manager now and at some point she mentioned she needs to turn an interview into a blog post. You know the drill: jot everything down, then shape it into something readable. Sounds like a chore, doesn't it?

But here’s where it gets good. I lean in, ready to unveil my secret weapon – AI. Imagine me, opening an imaginary trench coat lined not with shady watches, but with shiny AI tools. Just as I’m about to blow her mind with this digital wizardry, the universe decides to throw a classic curveball – no internet. Perfect timing, Universe. High five.

So, we parted ways, but the conversation stuck with me. I figured, why not share this life hack with everyone? So, here’s a laid-back guide on turning any interview or idea in your head into a cool article/blog post/email using AI, and yes, it's totally free!

1. Grab ChatGPT: First things first, download the ChatGPT app. It's available on the App Store and Play Store. Easy peasy.

2. Record Your Chat: If you're doing a phone interview, just put it on speaker and record it on another device, like a laptop or another phone. No fancy equipment needed. Some phones even have apps that can record calls directly.

3. Turn That Chat/Idea into Text: Now, let's get those words down. You can either:

   • Use ChatGPT in its dictation mode. Play the recording or tell it your idea, and let it type away. The voice-to-text capabilites of ChatGPT are mind-blowing. It’s crazy accurate when it comes to jotting down what you say in all kinds of languages.

   • Or, use ClipChamp, a nifty free online video editor (you need a free Microsoft account to use it). Upload your audio, let it create captions, and download the text. It’s brilliant for over 100 languages, even including Hungarian!

   

4. Spin It into a Blog Post: Next up, feed this text to ChatGPT. Just paste it in and ask the AI to whip up a blog post. Here’s a great sample prompt to try.

5. Tweak and Twist: Got the draft? Great! Now, add your personal touch. Edit a bit here and there, or if you want bigger changes, just nudge ChatGPT to take another shot at it. It's pretty accommodating, trust me.

This process can churn out a blog post/article that used to take two hours in less than 30 minutes. Bam, now you’ve got 90 minutes more to waste on Tiktok!
