🤖 Preplexity: the most underrated AI

Have you ever found yourself missing an important news story, and as the days pass, more updates keep coming in? It can be really exhausting to try and catch up on all the details, to the point where you might just decide not to bother diving into the topic at all.

Well, I have the perfect tool for you.

One of the most underrated gems in the AI world, Preplexity combines a chatbot with a search engine to keep you in the loop effortlessly.

How does it work? It's impressively fast and user-friendly. Just ask a question, and almost instantly, you get a well-crafted answer complete with citations. The AI intelligently crafts its answer from a variety of high-quality sources.

I caught up with all the Tesla vs Swedish unions drama this morning in 3 minutes, just by asking Preplexity about this.

I appreciate how it remains unbiased and sticks to the facts. It often corrects you if your question is based on incorrect information. However, remember that, like any language model, it's not infallible and might sometimes make mistakes.

One really cool thing: Preplexity suggests extra questions after giving you an answer. This is great if you're eager to dig deeper into a topic. Of course, you're always free to ask whatever you want too. But what's really neat is how often Preplexity nails it with its suggestions, to the point where you might not even feel the need to have a keyboard anymore.

Need targeted information? Preplexity has you covered. When starting a new thread, you can tailor your search to specific domains, be it academic papers, YouTube content, or Reddit discussions.

It is a popular tool among researchers. A friend of mine often uses it to find research papers that support his theory or to find out he was completely wrong.

For me the most useful part is the Reddit based search. Reddit often has the best book recommendations, movie or gift suggestions, but is notoriously hard to search. This AI is game-changer in finding useful and relevant info in the Reddit universe.

At its core, Preplexity runs on ChatGPT 3.5. For those looking for an extra edge, there's an option to upgrade to GPT-4, thanks to a handy "Copilot" feature – yes, everything is called GPT or Copilot these days.
