Werner Herzog narrates AI poetry, Employees want to use AI

Hey SurfersπŸ„!

While artists have put on the boxing gloves across industries to fight AI, a new study found that employees working in less creative jobs have been embracing the technology more enthusiastically than their companies might prefer.

The jury is still out on whether we can automate the mundane tasks while keeping the fun ones, but we're certainly giving it a shot. Let’s hope for the best!

ONE PIECE OF NEWS

πŸ”Google’s new AI boosted search

Google has rolled out a brand-new AI tool under the Search Labs tab on its Google Search app on Android and iOS aiming to improve the search results.

It's an entirely different product from Google's AI chatbot Bard.

The goal of the new feature is to summarize articles into key points, trimming down those long reads into the nitty-gritty. It will be particularly useful to people who are new to a given topic.

Additionally, the generated key points will include links leading directly to the section from where the AI has taken the information. The tool also answers questions by pulling answers straight from the article.

For now, the new feature is only available in English for a few select users in the US with no set date for its worldwide introduction.

ONE IDEA

Everyone thought companies would jump on AI but it’s the employees embracing it.

Things are going the opposite of what we thought. Instead of companies pushing the tech to boost productivity, it's coming up from the grassroots. A new Ipsos survey says employees are using ChatGPT to help with their day-to-day work, but bosses are putting the brakes on it because of worries about data security.
