AI Art can't be copyrighted, Clerical workers are at risk
Hello Surfersπ!
All those Q1 Earnings calls had one thing in common, if an exec said the word βAIβ the stocks went to the moon. But where are all those AI assisted burritos?
Hereβs your one minute of AI news:
ONE PIECE OF NEWS
πThe AI craze of the company earnings calls was mostly just talks
Nearly 40 per cent of companies in the S&P 500 index have mentioned AI in earnings calls. However, fewer than 16 per cent mentioned it in their corresponding regulatory filings. This highlights that, for most, talks about AI remain just thatβtalks, at least for now.
It's no wonder executives are trying to please shareholders. Investors are eagerly buying up AI-related stocks, but they're quick to divest from businesses they believe will be negatively impacted by artificial intelligence.
Ralph Lauren, KFC, Marriott and Chipotle all had ideas about utilizing AI, but none referenced it in their quarterly filings.
Did these companies merely jump on the AI bandwagon, or are they still working out the details of AI integration?
Itβs difficult to say, but one thing is clear: it will take some time before the true impact of the technology is felt across businesses. Meanwhile, investors should keep an eye on which companies are genuinely pushing to harness the power of AI.
ONE IDEA
If you give Putin, for instance, bioengineering and AI and brain computer interfaces, heβs likely to want to create a race of super soldiers who are much more intelligent and disciplined and never rebel and march on Moscow against him.
But the end result could be a new type of humans, a downgraded humans, who are highly intelligent and disciplined, but have no compassion and no spiritual depth.
