🔮My 9 AI predictions for 2024

1. AI Moves to Your Phone:

Imagine a world where your phone isn’t just smart; it’s brilliant. By the end of next year, I expect a GPT-4 level AI living in our pockets. Our interaction with our devices will change dramatically.

Imagine Siri being super-smart and witty, voice control will be just like talking to a friend. The camera app will not only recognize objects but will also offer insights, like identifying edible plants or giving you fashion advice.

Hopefully, it will even sort through my photo library and delete all those duplicate photos I have a million of.

2. The Language Barrier Falls: 

By the end of 2024 travel and international calls are about to get a whole lot easier. We’ll have an AI translating with less that a second delay between hundreds of languages, using the voice of the speaker.

No more sign language at a Paris café or a Mumbai train-station. 

AI-dubbed TikTok and YouTube videos will become the norm and they will sound like they were made just for you, in your own language. 



In 2024 the babel fish will turn from science-fiction to just science.

3. Medical AI Chatbots will be stealing the show:

The hottest app next year won't be a game or a social media thing – it'll be a health-focused AI chatbot.


Got some weird rash? Snap a pic, and this chatbot will tell you if it's a "put some cream on it" situation or a "hurry to the doctor" kind of deal.

4. Personalized GPT-5:

GPT-5 is gonna be all about getting to know you. It's not just going to get your preferences; it'll remember them and change how it chats with you based on that.

And get this – GPT-5 is planning to roll out video features. Picture just pointing your camera at something and then chatting with your AI buddy about it in real time.

5. Google’s Year to Shine:

Google’s AI performance was quite the disappointment this year. However my prediction is that Google Drive will be the first in offering AI-boosted office tools for free to the masses, and that will be an important step of winning over the public opinion. Although they're currently trailing OpenAI, their computational resources could help them make significant strides by year-end.

6. VR and Metaverse is coming back:

With all the research Meta's doing and AI getting better at 3D stuff, soon we’ll have a crazy realistic Metaverse.

Want to recreate your house? Snap a couple pictures and the AI will make it into a realistic VR space with great detail. Your face and gestures? They will be just like in real life.

I think next year, we’ll have a Matrix type of moment putting on a virtual headset and the Metaverse will make headlines again.

7. Online Shopping Gets a Major AI Makeover:

The shopping experience will get super personalized. You won't just browse clothes on a website; you'll actually see them on you, digitally fitted to your photo. And it's not just fashion.

Picture this – you snap a photo of your living room, and voila, IKEA or any home decor store whips up ten different design options tailored just for your space. One more click, and your dream room starts becoming a reality. AI is about to change the way we shop online in ways we've never seen before.

8. Questioning Reality:

By the end of next year, telling real from fake in videos and photos is going to be tough. Even video calls might not be what they seem. AI will have the ability to generate a video on the fly with no delay. I also predict that a fully AI-generated commercial will air on TV in 2024.

9. AI Agents will be all the rage:

Get ready for AI Agents to steal the show next year! These aren't just any programs – we're talking about super-smart systems that can reason and complete complex multi-step tasks.

Imagine having an AI buddy that can hunt down that hard-to-find item you've been eyeing, fill out all the boring details, order it, and even handle the payment. Or picture it chatting with different sellers to negotiate you the best deal. If these AI Agents hit the scene as we're expecting, they're going to shake up how we work and live in some pretty amazing ways.

In conclusion: Expect 2024 to match 2023 in terms of AI excitement. But here's the kicker: generative AI is poised to break new ground, touching aspects of our lives it hasn't really reached before.
